As other people are saying -- we seem to be eating our own -- so we're losing the focus on why we are nominating our Democrat - to soundly defeat Bush.

I myself made a pledge a long ago, on 12/12/2000 that we would remove * from power in 2004, whether it be Gore, Dean, Lieberman, Kerry, Edwards, Clark, Sharpton, Kucinich, and whoever else is left. When I saw Gore drop out of the race, I did my homework and chose Dean because his policies were sound.

You may have chosen your own candidates for different reason, that's fine with me, but we've got to reduce the attacks to a minimum. I'm just as guilty as anyone of you (I frequently attack Kerry), so I'm going to avoid more divisive attacks, and I'm also placing ignores on people that I don't want to see attacking my candidates. I'm equally as sure that you don't want to see more attacks on yours either. So whatever we decide, let's do this right. We need to stay focused and unify our party to removing Chimpy McFlightWhistleAss out of power and in prison where he belongs.

I don't want hear ABD, ABC, ABK, ABKu, ABE, ABG, ABL, ABS, and ABMC. Remember our target. ABB!

Sometimes we do get a little short-sited, especially in a highly contested race like this year.

Yes, we definately want to get rid of ShrubCo, but we're at a point right now where we can go two ways: we can replace the Shrub with somebody who supports our core democratic beliefs, or we can replace him with somebody who still sucks up to the corporate power structure in the country, but not quite as much as Shrub.

"Unnamed Democrat" is still beating Shrub in the polls, 48% to 43%. Do you know what that means? We could basically nominate ANYBODY (well, except for Charles Manson, maybe) and this person would WIN! Shrub is VERY unpopular right now, and despite a small economic "recovery", he's still very vulnerable.

We can nominate a candidate who will turn the car around and head back the right direction, or we can nominate a candidate who'll keep going the same way we are, but change lanes.

I want a Democrat who's not afraid to stand up to the Halliburtons and Diebolds of this world, and who has a record of courageous opposition to the modern-day robber barons: the true Anti-Bush.

This race is ours to lose, but we can't afford another squeeker like 2000. We need a Democrat who's not afraid of walking like a Democrat, talking like a Democrat, or running like a Democrat.

Otherwise all we'll get is another hollow victory full of vacuous promises that never come true.

It's sad that the most political savy and ruthless candidate generally wins... but hey, a wise man once said; "people deserve the government they have"

If Americans wanted a polite, idealistic, QUALIFIED, and moral president; they wouldn't keep voting dopes into office. :D

Yeah, yeah, I think Gore won... but regardless, Bush had enough support to get him in a close race. The mess in Florida is a further indictment of our political process.

...and i'd like to remind people that 2004 is NOT you standard election year. Even though the majority of people did NOT vote him, and don't plan on voting for him, they also seem to be under the impression that Bush will buy or steal the election again. We need to counter that, and we aren't going to do so acting like a bunch of jackasses...
