Cobb County Congressman Johnny Isakson leads his three Republican competitors in Georgia's 2004 U.S. Senate race, but a decisive number of voters have not made up their minds, according to a Zogby International poll.
The poll found 37 percent of likely voters favoring Isakson, while just under 11 percent picked Congressman Mac Collins of Jackson. Businessman Al Bartell received nearly 4 percent and former Godfather's Pizza CEO Herman Cain got 3 percent.
But 45 percent said they were undecided or would vote for someone other than the candidates now in the GOP primary.
"This shows the race is not only not over, it really hasn't even begun," said John Zogby, whose firm conducted the recent poll for The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. The survey of 401 people had a margin of error of plus or minus 4 percentage points.
