Bruce Babbitt set to endorse Dean
Meantime, Dean's campaign got some good news Thursday. Bruce Babbitt, interior secretary under President Clinton, plans to endorse the former Vermont governor, a senior Dean adviser said.

The backing of Babbitt, former governor of Arizona, is further evidence that the front-running Dean is steadily gaining support from Democratic Party leaders despite a campaign that has been fueled by his anti-establishment, anti-Washington rhetoric.

4. Former Illinois Senator Paul Simon Endorsed
Paul Simon is famous for his bow ties, and he's beloved in both Illinois and Iowa. Ran for President not too long ago, and Al Franken does a killer impersonation. :-)

6. Paul Simon is arguably still the most respected political figure...
In Illinois.

When Democratic campaigns want to pull out the big guns for public statements and those automated phone calls in support of Democrats...it's Paul Simon and Jesse Jackson they go to first.

Also...a stellar reputation for support of honesty and good government.

Thank you Sen. Simon - it means a lot!!!

3. Awesome.
I'm a big fan of Bruce (used to live in AZ) and think he was the best Secretary of Interior since Stewart Udall in the '60's.

This is great!

5. Major Kick
Bruce Babbitt
Paul Simon
Chip Carter is working for Dean
Graham's daughter is working for Dean

I fully admit my envy at Hart's endorsement of Kerry. I'm assuaged by Simon's endorsement and Babbitt's endorsement is like a cherry on top.

Things are looking good for Dean.
