5. The Arnold thing...

was only because of Oprah's long term friendship with Maria. While irritating, I don't think that is indicative of her views. Her soft hits with Bush* similarly.... I think she had GOre on and was trying to be fair with him, even overly so.

Oprah's a power hitter now and others are right to be concerned how well she can really relate to the populace. On the other hand, she has lived her life trying to help others and that is clearly a Democratic value, not a Repug. I think Oprah is still a staunch Democrat working in a world where one can't stub too many toes to keep afloat.
