Iowa poll puts Dean ahead of Gephardt
Former Vermont Gov. Howard Dean is leading U.S. Rep. Richard Gephardt, D-Mo., as the two continue their seesaw battle in the state, according to a new poll released Wednesday.

Dean leads Gephardt by a five-point margin, with 26 percent of the support from likely caucus-goers, according to a Zogby International poll. Gephardt had 21 percent. The share of people unsure who they would support surpassed both men, with 28 percent in the undecided category.

The survey of 500 people who say they are likely to attend the Jan. 19 caucuses has a margin of error of 5.4 points. Democrats and independents were included in the survey.

The close contest between Dean and Gephardt is in keeping with what other surveys of the race recently have shown. The two men have battled through the fall, with Gephardt criticizing Dean for past positions on Medicare, even as Dean has aired television commercials faulting Gephardt for voting last year in favor of a resolution authorizing war in Iraq.

They are asking people to come in the weekends before the caucus, we are going Jan 3-6.

Is there such a thing as hot spiced Kool-Aid? Because I think it's going to be cold! :)

5. Also Another Iowa Poll w/ Dean at +7.6% Over Gephardt
HOWEVER, there's still a lot of tough work to be done, because these polls can and do change, and they are quite imprecise to say the least.

I don't trust the polls much, nor should anyone else (in my opinion :-)).

8. I think Sen Harkin will not endorse anyone until after the ....
primary. He is trying to stay as neutral as possible so then no one can attack him for any conflict of interests.
