Kucinich Changes Focus of Debate, Brings Cheers from Crowd
12/10/03

Last night Dennis Kucinich participated in the New Hampshire Democratic debate. As evidenced by the sound of the thunderous applause in the room, Dennis spoke for nearly everyone there when he addressed the moderators' lack of focus on the issues:

"I want the American people to see where media takes politics in this country," Kucinich said to cheers from the crowd. "We start talking about endorsements, now we're talking about polls and then talking about money. When you do that you don't have to talk about what's important to the American people."

As reported by the Associated Press, New Hampshire Democratic Party Chairwoman Kathy Sullivan was "thrilled" by Dennis' statement, and said she wished the candidates had spent even more time talking about the issues important to New Hampshire voters.

If Dennis spoke for you too, please speak with your dollars. Contribute today.

2. He was hitting homeruns all night
About time for someone to start talking to Americans about important issues like this one! Jokes are nice but this was a serious matter and I'm glad he was able to deliver such a succinct message about how badly our discourse is stewarded.

4. He was the winner last night
Brilliant performance. Tried to refocus the debate on issues rather than answering Ted's stupid-ass process questions and obsession with Dean (who I also thought did well!)

7. Kucinich doesn't fall for the 'device of distraction' that

the bushgang uses.

and that same 'device of distraction' is used by the bushgang here at DU

don't play their game.

Wow.

Wow. Wow. Wow.

No, I'm not stuttering.

Thank you, Dennis, for bringing focus to that has-been Koppel.

9. Kucinich once again speaks truth..
"We start talking about endorsements, now we're talking about polls and then talking about money."

Doesn't that sound like the majority of candidate posts on DU?

Whenever we get down to what's important, the issues, Dennis Kucinich is way ahead of the pack.

GO DENNIS!
