Tom O'Hara, managing editor of The Plain Dealer, will discuss "How Bureaucrats Use Terrorism to Keep You Clueless" in a free public program tomorrow. The program will be at 7 p.m. in the Conference Room of Lombardo Student Center at John Carroll University, 20700 North Park Blvd., University Heights.

O'Hara is president of the National Freedom of Information Coalition and past president of the Florida Society of Newspaper Editors and the Florida First Amendment Foundation.

1. That does sound encouraging, but

I wish he would also talk to an editors group (like his former association) and tell them that if 70% of the population think that there is a direct link between the events of Sept. 11 and Iraq then they are NOT DOING THEIR JOB of conveying correct information to the public. (This was brought up on another thread 'yesterday?' by ???? w/tvnewlies.org - sorry I can't remember who posted it, but it was a very very good point)
