7. Not nearly as offensive as the original NRA quote:

To me, that sounds like a commitment to fight to the death if a legally authorized government official comes to arrest you. David Koresh believed in the "cold dead hands" methodology.

10. The NRA has proven

that all they care about is manipulating laws to allow their members to own military weapons.
They've proven that they don't care about health care for the Americans without insurance. They've proven that they don't care about the Social Security system that keeps so many Americans out of poverty. They've proven that they don't care about civil rights.
They've proven that they don't care about anybody's children but their own. That doesn't make them virtuous.

I can't remember the last time I read a news story about a gun owner heroically saving his family from bad guys with His Piece.

But I've heard far too many stories about kids killing each other or themselves. Mostly by mistake. One novel exception: The kid killed his dad!
