I agree, I feel that his regrettable performance with John Kerry, was payback for the Condi confirmation hearing debacle. I'm sorry I don't think Kerry's actions were all about payback, we went to a war with a country for no valid reason and I think those in power responsible for those decisions should be held accountable. I also was angry over "hardball's" anti-Kerry statements that were obviously false until I realized that it's coming from outside the newsroom. Reporters are not hate mongers, they don't make the news, they report it. I don't include Rush, Sean, Bill and the other wingnuts in this category of professional journalists. This vitriol is coming from above. They are just the mouthpiece for this venom.
