What's up with this controversy I keep hearing about Craig Carton from New Jersey 101.5?

What the HELL did this guy SAY???

I keep my ears open for stuff from Jersey/Pennsylvania, since I used to live there, but I'm in Texas now, and I'm just hearing about this whole swirling controversy, was hoping someone closer to the situation could clarify.

all's I know is Craig Carton appears to have made a rather intemperate remark about a Democrat, and now, apparently, there's a court hearing, and Democrats are supposedly trying to get this Carton guy removed from the air, and otherwise punished.

Bout damn TIME the Democrats started standing up for themselves!! say something negative about a freaking Republican, and the right wing wants you shot!! But what the HELL did Craig Carton SAY to get himself singled out like this??

1. He's a DJ for 101.5

He made a comment some time ago about acting Gov. Richard Codey's wife:

"Earlier this week, New Jersey acting Governor Richard J Codey theatened Craig Carton from Jersey 101.5 (WKXW-FM) before going on the air.

"I said that if I weren't governor, I'd take him outside as a result of the remarks he made about my wife," admitted Codey.

Carton had made insulting remarks about the Governor's wife, who had once suffered from post-partum depression. Mary Jo Codey had admitted in and interview that after giving birth she had thought of drowning her child or putting him in a microwave. She added she would have hurt herself before her child. "

2. Carton isn't a political analyist.

He's an ex-sports talk guy, he was making fun of the acting governor's wife and the guy responded by threatening him with violence ala Zell Miller. Carton's main issue is the legalization of marijuana, he's not a neo-con. This really is a nothing situation blown way out of proportion.

3. OK, Just Was Curious....

I was hearing about this whole controversy swirling around Craig Carton, and didn't know the details.
I knew he was on New Jersey 101.5 FM. I used to listen to Dominsky and Doyle on that station, ages ago!
I just got interested because I heard about this, all the way down here in Texas, so I was like...man, I need some DETAILS...

so it's just blown up out of proportion, eh??
