Ridicule is the number one "frame" the GOP use - indeed it is the only frame they use most of the time.

The RNC op-po research the ABCNote is so impressed with are just half truths dressed up as ridicule.

Why do the mainstream media in this country allow such crap to get into print and on the air?

It does not seem to happen in the EU. Are there special laws in the EU - or does their media have a bit more ethics than ours?

Tomorrow Dean is elected to Chair the DNC. What is coming out of the RNC directly and through all the pretend independent arms of the RNC tonight is ridicule of Dean. No real facts. Planted questions that in their wording are the equivalent of "Has he stopped beating his wife yet".

Judy Woodruff on CNN and Wolf Blitzer and all of Fox will of course jump on and run with the "ridicule" motif as their producers will indicate that this is a chance to "lighten up" and be "funny". But will real journalists also jump on the ridicule bandwagon?
