45% still think the media is too liberal--Gallup poll
Forty-five percent of Americans believe the news media in this country are too liberal, while only 14% say the news media are too conservative. These perceptions of liberal inclination have not changed over the last three years. A majority of Americans who describe their political views as conservative perceive liberal leanings in the media, while only about a third of self-described liberals perceive conservative leanings.

1. Oy is right.
Could we get these 45% to wear name tags, so I can avoid dating them? :D

2. Oh well hell......let's just start insisting that they not cover any TRUTH
Isn't the issue better described as:

Does the media cover the real issues in their true light (ie, liberal) or does the media make a big circus out of the affair of journalism to lull the people to sleep and make sure they don't have to lift a finger to THINK (ie, conservative).

Let's get our terms defined.

Oye vey!

3. It's time to counter these polls with facts.
Demand that the media pundits on the news report their party affiliation and who they voted for in the last presidential election.

4. Media bias
This is what happens when large corporations own a constitutionally mandated "free press". It becomes more concerned with selling advertising than getting at the truth (on both sides of an issue). Since most people spend their time trying to be comfortable, the last thing they want to know is some fact about their elected officials that will cause them to have to seriously ponder the ramifications of that news, and then get up off the couch, turn the TV off and go do something about it. Horrors! Just look at our last 2 president's! We elect politicians and not statesmen because to do the latter would take time, committment and a desire to do what is best for this country and not what is best for a political party.
