It was a masterful drilling of a new asshole for that POS.

Jon did such a good job of countering everything Goldberg said. And he did it while being so goddamn funny. My daughter did seem to think that Jon was getting pissed at Goldberg, but he never lost his humorous edge.

How he can keep his temper in check while sitting across a desk from one from the Dark Side is beyond me. But that is why he is where he is and I do not have my own TV show.

I think he might have "stepped over the line" a bit (vis-a-vis the format of the show) in that toward the end of the interview, he actually lectured Goldberg a bit.

In my opinion, Goldberg bloody well deserved to be lectured....actually I would have YELLED AT HIM... but it was well done by Jon.

It is rare that Stewart is not considerate to a conservative guest. That make the event all the more effective - because it was out of character.

Goldberg deserved it - he leaves Ann Coulter out of his list of the most dangerous people in the country, but includes Jimmy Carter.
