Attention News World International fans

The station is carrying spots about how it's going to be replaced with other content (i.e. Al Gore's attempt at hipness, which is NOT a liberal news channel) on August 1, but they say that they're going to try to find other ways to get CBC news to U.S. viewers.

If you're a fan, go to their website

and tell them that you hope they can find another way to broadcast in the States.

Also contact your local cable or satellite company and tell them that you want to have CBC available.

As things stand, starting August 1, Time-Warner will still offer a 24-hour news channel from China, but nothing from Canada. :cry:

1. NWI is the best newschannel there is in the US.

It's a shame that it's being replaced.

2. I listen to streaming CBC all the time.

I like it because you can listen to St. John's, Newfoundland or Whitehorse, Yukon with the same ease. It is like a tour of Canada without leaving your home. My favorite is Sydney, Nova Scotia on Cape Breton Island.

3. CBC Domestic Newsworld

Maybe they can at least replace NWI with the domestic version of Newsworld, which is the CBC's 24 hour newschannel.
