my entry in the effort to rename

MSM.

Advantages: the initials roll off the tongue just as easily.
: erases the "central thinking" feel of the word "mainstream".
: focuses on the corporate nature of MSM.

1. accurate, but not quite snappy enough

Maybe it won't resemble "MSM" but I suspect you should be able to cook up something snappier.
