Air America Radio Buries Sean Hannity in Portland, Poised To Take Over ..
.. Top Spot

Air America Radio, just a year and a half old, is poised to grab the top spot in talk-radio for the Portland, Oregon market. Many pundits wrote off the liberal talk-radio enterprise shortly after its inception, but in the last year AAR has grown from 16 stations to 70, and in Portland, it has relegated Sean Hannity's radio station to near the bottom of the trash heap. In this particular market AAR is moving up so fast in the ratings it is likely they have already captured the top-spot from the plummeting Rush Limbaugh, as this article is being written. <snip> http://blogcritics.org/archives/2005/09/09/140752.php

I only get AAR on the internet, but I'm glad to know if I get to Portland I'll be able to listen on my car radio!

4. We have two progressive stations in San Antonio
Edited on Fri Sep-09-05 06:52 PM by Gman
But they are almost underground stations. One is AAR and it's on a station in Karnes City, TX, about 60 miles southeast of SA and the other is a non-AAR progressive with Ed Schultz, Lionel, Stephanie Miller, et al and it's out of Devine, TX which is like 45 southwest of San Antonio. Needless to say, the signal gets weak the farther north you go in town. Incidentally, the farther north you go, the more Republican the town becomes.

I live south so I'm in hog heaven!
