Why no video or pictures of the bulldozed orchards in Iraq?
A few days ago stories came out about U.S. troops bulldozing farmers' groves in Iraq as retribution for the farmers' refusal/inability to identify Iraqi resistance.

http://www.globalexchange.org/countries/iraq/1164.html

Were the stories bogus? I expected pictures of toppled groves and angry farmers.

Are there so few photographers and videographers in Iraq? It seems U.S. news organizations would have Iraqi nationals on payroll to get those pictures. No "personality" needed, just pics. Pics are cheap when you don't need Geraldo Rivera et al in the foreground.

6. Your answer seemed snide
If you haven't seen any pictures of casualties, you haven't been looking.

Here's one.

3. Not Sure
I few days ago someone did post something about this. If it's true, restitution and apologies would be in order. However, with only one source reporting it and no pictures to confirm, I personally think someone has their facts mixed up with something Israel does, and probably just did again. If someone has a link other than the one posted above, or just better info, please post it.

4. There are pictures here.

What makes you think our news would cover it when they are trying to cover up the number of dead and wounded among our own soldiers. "We don't do body counts."

Why would you think our news would cover it when Kobe has so many problems?

7. Thanks for the link w/ pics. Answers to your questions.

I think "We don't do body counts" is a Pentagon quote. I've seen enough web pages and news accounts to know that if there are bodies or injuries, the independent media (not FOX or FOX wannabees) will find a way to get us some pictures. There are also body count sites that tracking the wounded.

Why would you think our news would cover it when Kobe has so many problems?

Well I sure don't expect major media to cover it sufficiently. But I am accustomed to eventually seeing the pictures of incidents like this from smaller news organizations and independents.

Thanks for the link so I could some pictures. I guess that's the best we'll get. Too bad the videographer was stopped during the razing.
