Duers, what are the best sources of information about US politics
that I need in order to get a good comprehension of what's going on ? Im looking for info as reliable, objective and intelligent as possible. Can you give me a brief portrayal of the media-related situation ? What's the best tv network, etc ? Whatever you think would help me, thank you.

1. It's very subjective....
I always go to

http://www.talkingpointsmemo.com/

for the ins and outs of politics.

Cable and network TV sucks for the most part, that's why I go to

http://www.democracynow.org/index.shtml

for the news. I also like PBS Newshour with Jim Lehrer although sometimes even that disappoints.

As you can see, the internet is my best source of information.

Hope that helps.

3. It sure does, thank you.
Is a network like let's say CNN really not worth it at all ?

6. IMO, the only reason to watch CNN or...
MSNBC is to guage the level of bullshit and spin on any given subject.

They are not so much news gathering organizations as purveyors of opinion. Where is the hard-hitting journalism that asks the tough questions? Not on TV, that's for sure.
