Bob Franz has a newer "bumper" - "Do I have this wrong? Barack Obama doesn't know when life begins?" (not exact wording, but that sentiment - Barack was asked when life begins, and couldn't tell you).

Of course, the question asked of Obama was something totally different - and I quote: "at what point does a baby get human rights"?

I wonder that myself ... at what point does a baby get the same rights as an adult? If a fetus is aborted by the body (happens without interference by the mother or outside forces), does the mother get compensation from her insurance provider? I mean, as soon as your doctor tells you you're pregnant, you're on mailing lists for all kinds of baby stuff ... your insurance agency should cover it, right? Of course, they wouldn't want to pay up should something happen in that first trimester ...

Then again, Repukes don't exactly grant human rights to already existing humans, right? Like the guy who shot to death two people stealing, or a 14-year-old girl murdered after she watched her family murdered before she was brutally raped by a U.S. soldier, or the starving children of famine-ravaged areas of the world, right?

Or even those people who had been so jaded by the latest "sweeps month" weather warnings of total annihilation that they didn't leave New Orleans and ended up in the Superdome ...
