Does it mean the same thing as a 'composite' photo?

10. Here's a tutorial on how to do it.
This one shows how to turn a photo of a city into a photo of ruins of the city.

3. Photoshop is a photo editing program.
You can use it to alter digital photographs in many different ways. It's not the same as a composite photo, although you can use it to create composite photos.

9. Or a slightly cheaper but equally capable "Paintshop Pro" can also be used to do a "photoshop". NT

11. One important point to make
Digital Single Lens Reflex cameras do not, as a general rule, produce an image with enough contrast. And in certain lighting situations, the correct white balance (like using the wrong color film).

The normal recourse is to use some sort of post processing to correct the image.
What may seem like a defect, is really a strength in several ways, the two most significant for this thread are that the image may seem flat because it has a lot of information in it and that you get to choose how to use that information to create a more nuanced image than most can with film.

However, when I use it as a verb, I mean photo manipulation, not enhancement.
