Transcript of Cleveland's WTAM Triv show where he says blacks are lazy

Here's the transcript of what he said. Do you think I have a good chance of filing a complaint?

11/5/2008, approximately 5:28pm, WTAM 1100

Caller: Yeah, Mike. Here's my question. I’m listening to Jesus and his story from the restaurant.

Triv: Yeah.

Caller: Obviously, the guy came over, probably couldn’t speak a word of English, and somehow he’s living the American dream. He’s built a restaurant, he’s employing people, he’s paying taxes, he loves his country. And, as I’m out and about, I see other people doing the same thing. Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Italians, my father-in-law’s Italian, came over here, worked for GM for thirty-five years, would work as many hours as he could. Double shifts, loves this country. You know, can never say enough great things about this country. Why is it that the BLACKS feel like they need Obama in order to have an opportunity in this country to succeed when they’re born as Americans, they live in this country, they speak English, somewhat, why do they need so much help when other people from other countries can come over here and hit a home run?

Triv: Well, the best thing to do, and I hope this is not gonna be the questions I’m gonna field for four years, because Obama became President of the United States of America, okay? I’m prayin’ that that’s not the answer, that I’m prayin’ that’s not what’s gonna happen here, alright?

Caller: Right.

Triv: But two things, real quick. Number one, you should call Art McCoy on Sunday night and ask him that. He’s black. I’m not black, how am I gonna answer that? But to give you a white perspective point of view from it, okay?

Caller: Right.

Triv: The Democratic party with so many entitlements has really really made a LOT, NOT ALL, but a huge part of the black community really lazy. And they’ve done that, to, knowing that they’re gonna hurt the, the black race but they, knowing that they’re also gonna get 94 percent of their votes like in this election.

Caller: Right. And y’know, back in the …

Triv: That’s what’s, uh, no I really don’t want to talk about that no more. Uh, but that’s just my opinion and what the hell’s my opinion, uh, worth, uh, maybe two cents? But entitlements have absolutely pos, the Democrats have absolutely destroyed the, the black family. They really have. And people well versed on the subject will agree with that and tell you that. It’s, it’s really sad what the Democrats have done to the black community. And they’ve done it strictly for votes. Because they know what they’re doing is not good, not good. But, hey, whaddaya gonna do?

Why would you even listen to him?

Again, we need to marginalize these people by not paying attention to anything they say. Let them and their kind stew in their hatred and negativity.

2. I was wondering if he was having a total meltdown ...

it usually takes only about 15 seconds of listening to hear him say something totally disgusting about Dems/Libs ... he's auditioning to be Rush's replacement when he overdoses ...

3. Hmmm. I know where this guy is getting his comment from...

I don't think he's being racist, I think he's reflecting what he knows of history. Although a lot has changed since then, he's referring to segments of the Black community who were "hooked" on welfare. Before welfare reform, there were generations of African Americans who had children out of wedlock to remain on the welfare rolls. It seems that he's blaming the Democrats. The history is there. He was careful to say, "Not all...but a huge part...".

I don't know what the statistics are or where those families are now, I just know that their motivation to be responsible for themselves had been removed because of the way the welfare system took care of them. I remember the stories of mothers going to school and learning to take care of themselves and their families for the first time, and that it was President Clinton who began that road to recovery for that segment of the African American community.

Whatever the reason for the system, whatever toll it extracted from the African American community----change has come. The time is NOW to move forward, the past is over. Let those who choose to look into the past and point with derision move aside while the rest of the country moves ahead to our bright, beautiful future.

4. He was just saying today that Obama's aunt is trying to stay in

the U.S. so she can get food stamps and won't have to get a job. She's supposedly staying in Cleveland with relatives,according to AP.

I'd love to get this mutant off the air,the one who's on in the morning also,along with Oxycontin rush Limbaugh. Might take time but it's probably doable. Should be an Air America station anyway. The old days are over.
