Maybe it was Obama who killed Vince Foster?
A broadcaster with a helium voice on the radio made the following declaration, we do not celebrate your election, and we reject you! We will fight you! This was the day after the presidential election by some neurotic named Mark Levin. This first salvo was the beginning of Obamaphobia. The new president is going to get the 90’s Bill Clinton treatment on the AM radio ban. Hate radio is back folks. The tin foil hat has been passed to a new generation.
I remember on the late George Putnam show on KIEV AM in Los Angeles, it was 1998. A caller exclaims: Red Chinese troops are amassed on the Mexican border and they are waiting for Clinton command to invade the USA. Now Bill Clinton plays golf with Bush Senior. So waits for Obama? Keep in mind that the only taboo that right wing nuts can’t use is balls out racism. The listener will just turn the dial and land on E-Span sports radio. The program director will have the company attorneys look over the Republican talking points and rubber stamp what is not liable, slanderous, obscene or bigoted. After the broadcaster gets the ok then the broadcaster can spew out his or her poison on the airwaves. Then we will be treated with 8 years of rumors, anger, fear mongering and conspiracies, which is protected by the First Amendment.
For the untrained ear, this will anger an Obama supporter. Some write this off as just entertainment. Is it really? Is professional wrestling fake? Will advertisers finance this sort of fair? Not, major corporations. Maybe fly by night loan companies, gold brokers, and maybe, if the station is lucky, Wall Mart may have ads. Yes, some desperate broadcaster who wants to secure a job will pretend to be an angry white man to get a paycheck. There are a lot of fake conservatives on talk radio land; however, there are actually true believers in radio land. Bob Grant in New York City really means what he says. Michael Savage, I’m not so sure. He seems to be sincere in what he is screaming in his microphone. But it seems like an act. Dennis Prager? He comes off like an intellectual, but if you listen closely, you will detect insincerity. He might have a slight case of megalomania. The rest are in it for their selfish career.
Now it’s about Obama’s birth certificate. Is it real or fake? That is the latest charge. So is the USA really going for 1990’s retro hate radio? After 8 years of a crappy Republican government, will America listen? Maybe 22% will turn it on while driving home from work, but not take it seriously. It is my firm belief that right wing radio is a form of rating poison. Some will never learn.
