Tennis Channel can bite me

I flipped channels during halftime of an NFL game I watched yesterday.

Landed on Tennis Channel, which was showing a 1981 match between Bjorn Borg and Vitas Gerulaitis.

Less than 5 minutes of watching, and one "pop up" factoid appeared on the bottom of the screen. You know those "pop-ups" that try to hold your attention while you watch old telecasts?

This one said, and I'm paraphrasing because I can't remember it exactly, but I'm not twisting it at all:

"Jimmy Carter's presidency was hampered by his tendency to micro-manage and scheduling the White House tennis courts was no exception."

Draw your own conclusions. Here's mine:

Bite me, Tennis Channel. You would be more successful as a business if you'd be a non-politically biased sports channel. And hiring Chris Myers (of FoxNews) to do your series of "Center Court" interviews of tennis greats? Total mismatch. NFL Football doesn't have Helen Thomas doing "Between the Lines" interviews.

I only watch tennis to admire the guys' legs. I miss the days of the really short shorts. Hate the saggy baggies the guys wear these days.

3. NFL Football doesn't have Helen Thomas doing "Between the Lines" interviews.

No but they did have Rush Limbaugh doing Sunday Night Countdown on Espn and Dennis Miller was on Monday night football.

6. I admit it, I'm a sexist pig. But I walked into the recently OOB Tweeter

and there was Sharapova in High Def. I got High Def shortly thereafter.

And Popups do suck and that one sounded particularly odious.

8. I got the Tennis Channel

For my 82 year old mother. She loves tennis and if someone was to ease drop on us they would think I was hitting her. She gets so worked up and pissed off when Federer loses. LOL! Her dog Lady who's gone now used to crawl under the bed when she would hear my mom yell at the TV. LOL But she complains because they go back in time and show too many old matches and most of it's reruns. What's an old lady to do. She's at Bingo tonight with my SIL.
