Rachel Maddow earns an Image "coup," appears in Vogue
L.A. Times: The 2008 Image Index coups and snafus

UP: RACHEL MADDOW

How refreshing to see a TV pundit — and Rhodes scholar — who’s loyal to her signature style. Rachel Maddow, 35, waxes poetic about politics and takes on the GOP on her daily eponymous show on MSNBC. This month she appears in Vogue, and the self-described butch lesbian didn’t succumb to a glitzy glam makeover; she’s wearing a Jil Sander suit and black Converse high-tops.

1. She's such a class act...
What a woman.

A Rhodes scholar also! I'm not surprised.

She's only 35 and look what she has accomplished.

Her show flows like butter and she is a consummate professional. Sharp as a tack.

She deserves all of this fabulous press. Go Rachel! :)

2. Good for her..tackling success on HER terms not on
the terms suggested by the corporate media. I think that's one reason she is successful, she does not appear to be a sell out who will do anything to maintain her position. Once people see that, it's easier to accept that she is not feeding spin.

5. Yesterday, Anderson Cooper dissed Maddow program

Calls her smart and well researched.. Yet, says who wants to hear her opinions.. The opinions of a Rhodes Scholar. Well researched, he admits. Probably jealous that he's stuck with CNN over MSNBC. And the apparent freedom's MSNBC seems to be awarding it's Rhodes scholar anchors. How can well researched = opiniated, when opinionated is soundly based on fact. Maybe Anderson needs switch to MSNBC.
