1. Are they in contract talks?

It's hugely disappointing that Randi has been out for three days now, and her staff writes on her message board some cryptic messages about "it's all going to be OK." It sounds to me like some contract negotiations between Nova M and Randi.

What's really strange is her blog on here website was updated on Wednesday, then taken down, then again on Thursday.

Isn't it about year since Randi came on board with Nova M?

Just a lot of speculation on her message board. I don't think it's a year yet. I think it was either spring or early summer when she started with them. We'll just have to wait and see.

It was particularly bad yesterday when she allowed some low-level employee of the Bush administration to comment about how wonderful Bush was and how he showed so much respect for the office of the president by wearing a suit jacket in the oval office.

Never mind that Bush completely violated the rights of the American people and everyone else he didn't like in the world. I do not like this Nancy Skinner. She is weak. She should go back to reading weather reports. Sorry to be so rude, but the fact is we get very little radio time for liberal talk shows and we need the strongest voices out there. She is not one of them.

8. You're making a quick judgment without hearing her very much

She did what she could yesterday with only two hours notice. She got who she could get at the last minute. If you ever listened to her when she had her own show, you'd know that she gets Dems on a lot, but she also likes to show the other side for what they are and do a "good cop" "bad cop" kind of two-sided thing.

You are quite insulting -- Nancy never did weather. She was one of the first progressive voices on the radio -- way back in the 90s when there were no progressive voices on the air, and she was the only voice on the air speaking out against the war before it started. It's unfortunate that for now you won't be able to give her a longer chance, since she's just subbing, but I guarantee you she's a very strong progressive.

And to say she "allowed some low-level employee...", it's not that she allowed him anything. He was a guest and she gave him his say. It obviously doesn't mean she agreed with him. Just having him on made the best case against what he was saying. His own words made him sound like an idiot.

12. Seriously NovaM is acting like AAR

According to Mike Malloy there is an issue between management and Randi (i.e. contract issues)and then he proceded to tear the listeners a new one saying it isn't any of our damn business what it's about. Fine, then why couldn't NovaM simply post something more honest than "technical issues"? They could have said they were talking about sensitive contract issues and Randi would return in a few days.

I canceled my Founder's Club membership over this BS NovaM is handing out. Frankly, I can see why liberal talk radio dies so easily: It is run by idiots who are putting high strung prima dona's on the air.

Didn't we just have 8 years of lying and deception? Didn't we learn anything?!? Or is this a case of "should a democrat do it it's okay"?

I personally don't like Rhodes, but I do appreciate what she does bring to the airwaves. I'm just sorry that none of these stations seem to ever get their crap together.

14. One other item everyone is missing

If you are a talk show host in some sort of contract issue with management and you're OFF THE AIR, things just can't be going well for you. Seriously folks Randi is not on the radio during this "technical issue with managemen". Can we just all agree that if she is not back on her show in the next few days Randi will probably leave NovaM?

Other radio hosts have contractural issues with management that don't lead them to being put off the air unless things are not going well. (I talked to a friend of mine who hosts a radio show here in Seattle last night). This more than likely is going very badly for Randi.

It appears she arrived at an impasse with Nova-M.

Please, send Nancy Skinner back to wherever she came from.

Could we have Sam Seder, please? I listened to Randi a little every day, but I almost always turned her off after just a little while. She was always rude, but she had gotten worse. I know a lot of people do not like to hear that, but I just got to the point where I could not take her for more than a few minutes or maybe an hour if she happened to be a little more civil that day.

Sam Seder can listen to wingnuts and take them apart with brilliant arguments. He is also very funny. (Remember the creaking closet door every time the name Lindsey Graham was mentioned? :))
