its just getting weird now. Its like the elite don't even care what people think about them.
If reports came out saying US bombed some city, they would put a headline saying something completely opposite, saying how there is peace in that region.

I mean, every president-elect (whether you'd like him or not) has been person of the year on the election year.

And right-wing loudmouth Newt Gingrich was Person of the Year after his first year (1995) as Speaker of the House following the 1994 Republican Revolution. But Nancy Pelosi didn't become Person of the Year in 2007 even though she was the first woman Speaker...instead Time selected Vladimir Putin!

In 1998, both President Clinton AND Independent Counsel Kenneth Starr were Persons of the Year--because of the whole Monica Lewinsky scandal and impeachment proceedings.

Mikhail Gorbachev was POTY in 1987 and 1989. Really controversially, Ayatollah Khomeini in 1979.
