Liberal talk show

Hey everyone. I'm new here this is actually my first topic. Anyway here's the deal I live in East Tennessee and in case you don't know its very conservative. Just about the only talk radio I can find is Rush and others like him, and to be honest if I have to listen to him anymore im going to drive my car off a cliff lol. Anyway I was wondering if you all knew of a site that listed liberal talk show lists by state? I listened to Thom Hartmann online today and really liked him so I hope hes on in my area. Thanks for the help in advance.

1. I get XM radio to listen to America Left. Thom, Ed, and others have liberal shows on it.

I'm in Knoxville, and I don't know of any local progressive talk shows; there may be individual Air America shows on some stations. If you do find any local shows, please let me know! :)

All I can recommend is listening to all those available online...which doesn't help in your car, I know.

haha im in Knoxville too. Well I am glad to see im not alone here. I know we get NPR,but im not sure how good it is. How is NPR for liberal talk?

5. Nope; there's at least one other Knoxvillian here, too.

As for NPR, it's moved to the center in the last couple of decades; fairly good for straight news, but little progressive commentary nowadays.

You can download podcasts of many programs. I do it because my work schedule prevents me from listening to most of them live.

7. Wolf, You can pick up almost any radio station in the country

..on the web. the very best IMHO is KPHX in Phoenix. Go here and listen to the best all day long starting in the wee hours of 5am with Bill Press..

Scroll down on the left side and click on Listen live and you're all set to go! Enjoy! Note: Most of the main host are on vacation for 2 weeks so you will have to listen to stand ends. But most of those are pretty darned good as well..
