Poll: Fox is most trusted name in news

Fox is the most trusted television news network in the country, according to a new poll out Tuesday.

A Public Policy Polling nationwide survey of 1,151 registered voters Jan. 18-19 found that 49 percent of Americans trusted Fox News, 10 percentage points more than any other network.

Thirty-seven percent said they didn’t trust Fox, also the lowest level of distrust that any of the networks recorded.

There was a strong partisan split among those who said they trusted Fox — with 74 percent of Republicans saying they trusted the network, while only 30 percent of Democrats said they did.

It's like listening to some of the blatantly right-wing callers to Stephanie or Randi: "I am a Dem-o-crat Lib-eral, but I do not like the Obama administration because... (right-wing talking point)"

From purely anecdotal evidence, one of my previous roommates told me how he always claimed to be a Democrat for surveys & polls even though he voted Republican every time for every available position. As he said, he did it just to f*ck w/ the results. It seems to me that some folks on the Right are just dicks like that, to a far greater degree than some of us on the Left are... But that may just be my opinion.
