Some FOX truth

Found this gem on one of TP's comment section:

"As long as Fox News enjoys a high percentage of viewers/voters, as long as they proclaim themselves to be the most “trusted” “fair and balanced” network without challenge, as long as they continue to lie, distort facts, mischaracterize news, disinform, misinform and propagandize their audience, as long as they are the only ubiquitous TV channel no matter where you may be located in America, nothing is going to change.
Obama is going to have to do a lot more of what he is doing this week – talking to the people directly and hope he gets through to them – but if he does get their attention – Fox News will simply cut him off the air.
This is the result of years groundwork to own multiple outlets, purchase politicians, influence the FCC, and train their anchors to lie with impunity."

2. Boehlert at Media Matters had it correct
He offered that FOX News has stepped so far over the line in the last few months that their coverage should be deemed a formal campaign contribution and treated as such by the FEC. He spells out the reasons why FOX News coverage of the MA election fits to a tee the definition of a political ad and not journalism.

FOX, like Rush, will never go away or be mitigated until they are the focus of a sustained and forceful, head-on effort by the Left in this country.

3. I was going to add that some very favorable court cases
helped create this situation. The ruling in Florida that lying about anything in a 'news' cast is legally protected free speech sure helped.
Surely CU v FEC will also be used as a cudgel.
