It may be news to some but its no big deal to those involved with assassination research. His appalling tome Case Closed was an hilarious attempt at nailing the crime on Oswald the lone gunman.

What this does of course is make people with no agenda but a simple difference of opinion look suspicious. It causes distrust and drowns out legitimate calls against bad researchers of which the CTKA tries its utmost not to represent. Looks like Posner altered/falsified quotes in the material he plagiarized.
I'm relatively uninterested/agnostic on the JFK stuff myself. But Posner's falsification of quotes in his Daily Beast articles calls into question the validity of his reporting in the rest of his work (e.g. Case Closed).
