Bill Moyers replaced with OPS (Old People Shows). I hate old people shows. I hate old people. They're boring and they're always tired. (I know cause I'm an old people).

Bill Moyers isn't old. He's like me. I'm used to staying up late on Friday night to watch all my news shows. Eleven o'clock sometimes. Damn Republicans! I know they did this.

1. Our local PBS affiliate in Raleigh is just plain awful 90% of the time.

Endless reruns of stale UK "comedy" shows, all sorts of goofy snake oil self help type of things - but the best part - during fundraising (they actually call it "Festival!") is every sort of piano playing crooner or river dance schmaltz or airblown Irish woman faking playing their violins....Yanni or Tesh would be better (just kidding...they are the same!).

It is essentially Must NOT Watch TV for us, except for the odd nature show.

2. It's mostly all I watch.

Friday was Wash. Week, Now, Bill Moyers.
Tuesday is Nova, Frontline and Independent Lens. Of course I only turn on Lens to see Maggie.

3. we've pretty much turned off the TV.

We went to basic cable 4 years ago...now our box is used mainly to watch Netflix movies.

4. You talk as if PBS just yanked his show off the air. He yanked himself off.

He announced his retirement from the show, slated for April 30, 2010, back in November 2009.
