Welcome to the new age of Glenn Beck, folks! Just signed a brand spanking new partnership with Freedumbworks, and you know what that means.... He officially inherits the Tea Party. That's right folks, Freedomworks gets their psycho-clown spokesperson to spin their talking points to the hysterical fringe, and Glenn Beck gets to hock Goldline and "survival seed kits" to a new, wider (and dumber) audience. I hope the Dems are prepared to deal with the new face of the McCarthy-esque hostility at "big guverment" (Democrats), that we've all come to know and love. You thought Hannity was a gas-bag, wait till you get a lode of the new, revamped freak show that is Glenn Beck. I can't believe right-wing, psycho media has made it this far, let alone that it still exists. We've come a long way from the civil rights struggles, womens sufferage, etc. To think that guys like Rupert Murdoch and Newt Gingrich could poison the arena of public media so much. I saw it start in the early 90's with Newts "contract with America" and the media circus that followed it and the Clinton impeachment proceedings. They've basically cultivated and manufactured the views that Glenn Beck, Hannity, and Limbaugh spew from their rabid mouths wilst seated in their ivory towers, built by the very people they are supposed to be "looking out for" (ala O'Reilly). Yet the paradox persists. On the other hand, Obama's not exactly doing us many favors, over here. I know he a pragmatist and all, but he really needs to take a firm moral stance against special interests for once. My advice Mr. President; Show some balls, and make some decisions regardless of their implications to your political career. People keep comparing him to FDR, I don't see it. No New Deal here, just business as usual. Jesus, I sound like a Tea Partier. I just hope we can beat the pants off those guys in 2010 and 2012. Obama's not perfect, but at least he's not psychotic.
