Just finished Molly Ivins, A Rebel Life. Wow! What do people in
media say about her today? Is her form still alive?

She had courage, humor, and was unstoppable until she died.

4. My favorite quote of Molly:
Referring to Rush Limbaugh: "I object because he consistently targets dead people, little girls, and the homeless--none of whom are in a particularly good position to answer back. Satire is a weapon, and it can be quite cruel. It has historically been the weapon of powerless people aimed at the powerful. When you use satire against powerless people, as Limbaugh does, it is not only cruel, it's profoundly vulgar. It is like kicking a cripple.

5. From your reaction, it seems she remains unstoppable. . .
What does that say about how alive she remains today? . . .

7. Yea, I just passed the book over to my 74 year old friend from Russia who writes.
She is in my apartment building. I rang the bell, but left it
with a note.
It was gone when I came back, so she is probably eating it up.

I can relate to Molly's voice. She was extraordinary as she
had it made, yet
allowed her common sense and public interest rule her rather
than politics.

I was happy to see her pull it off. So well loved.

We need more people with that kind of irreverence.

Obama, you met her. Get some damn irreverence towards those
non-compliant,
lying, cheating, greedy repukes... tell some truth. Prove you
have NOT moved
to any center... It is NOT clear from here.

6. She banged around Dems when they needed it too.
Shredded them. No one with the platform she had will ever say what she said about the Clintons. Not ever. Olbermann won't.

Mark my words.
