Rise Against: Endgame Drops 3/15/2011
Anyone getting it? What other albums are DUers looking forward to? Are there bands with similar politics to Rise Against?

1. Can not wait for this album.
Rise Against, no doubt the best band currently on the map. Sadly, their tour is coming nowhere near Tampa.

2. I'm not a big music guy anymore
So I've actually never heard of Rise Against. I checked out their page and sampled Help is On the Way and liked it.

According to their wikipedia page they're quite mainstream :wtf:

Any recommendations within their discography?

One band that I've come to love is not quite as popular: State Radio. M'lady turned me on to them. And my username is from the title of their first full length album. They're a fusion band and have something that may appeal to everyone. They also have some of the best written songs I've ever heard.

I expect their new album to drop imminently. :bounce:

3. IT's getting harder to find, but still available on eBay and Amazon
Their first album "The Unraveling". It has a very raw, unprocessed sound that will just blow your mind. "Siren Song of the Counter Culture" is another great album, and the one that put them on the map. Unfortunately, it is also the album that sent them mainstream. They went a little more commercial with their last two albums, but it sounds like they are trying to go back to their roots They are the real deal, and don't support causes on the album alone, they are all practicing vegetarians, and all, except the drummer, are Straight Edge. Glad you finally discovered such an amazing band. Here's to hoping they play a South Florida date.

4. I picked it up this morning on my way to work
and I'll be going to see them in concert at Ram's Head Live in baltimore on the 26th (the day after my birthday).
