"I'm going to assume that your non-answer..." -ever heard anyone dare say that to a Bushie?
STATE OF THE UNION WITH CANDY CROWLEY

CROWLEY: And let me say I'm in no way questioning the bravery of guys who would drop into another nation against a guy who is the biggest terrorist in the world, but as you know, there has been a big brouhaha, because originally it was reported that Osama bin Laden was armed that he shielded himself with one of his wives.

Now he didn't do that. He didn't have weaponry. What do we know about what happened in those final moments In that room that you can tell me?

DONILON: Yeah. Let me review the circumstances though. We are at war with al Qaeda. Osama bin Laden is the leader of the entity that we're -- a group that we're at war with. Our forces went basically to their commander's headquarters here in Abbottabad, Pakistan. They entered the compound and were fired upon. They had to breach several walls and doors to get to where Osama bin Laden was. At no point during the course of this operation did Osama bin Laden indicate that he was prepared to surrender.

This is an organization known obviously for suicide bombing, IEDs, booby-trapping buildings. And our forces, no signal from him that he was prepared to surrender, acted completely appropriately. And I don't think anybody is going to second guess their judgment.

CROWLEY: Right. Well, I mean, I must say I think certainly in this country you're right, but I'm sure you've seen the web site that in other countries, for those who might be sympathetic with what they believed bin Laden to be, that the fact that he was unarmed and which I'm going to assume that your non-answer is that he was unarmed in the sense that he wasn't holding a weapon, and obviously he could have had all kinds of things nearby in all of that.

1. I'd love to see some reporter say that to Liz Cheney for example.
She's never fact checked in any way.

2. I think Crowley's comment was right.
I think a skeptical attitude is appropriate for the the press.

3. Having a skeptical attitude is admirable. Applying it only to one party is not.

5. So she is skeptical that OBL was unarmed? So that would mean
he was armed and he was taken out. I could see if she was skeptical about the secret helicopter, or that the Pakastani government was not aware that OBL was sitting on their faces.

We all know what the SEALS are trained to do...OBL made his choice when he killed 3000 plus Americans because of his twisted ideology.

4. Screw Crowley she gave lap dances to the previous administration

President Obama sends the SEALS to take out the most wanted man in the world and Crowley and others question if OBL was unarmed?

Who the fuck cares if he was unarmed....we had over 3000 Americans minding their own damn business when OBL ordered planes into the Towers, the pentagon and in a field.

WTF is wrong with this picture?

6. Right. If we'd bombed with a drone...
... would anyone be asking whether he'd been unarmed when the building exploded?

8. Not only that
we would be hearing about all of the civilians killed because of a drone bombing.

I don't think what she is doing is good journalism, I don't even think it's skeptical. I think it is picking the opposite side of what occurred because of who is in the WH.

If Junior would have been there she would be changing her panties talking about what hero's Junior and Cheney were....(Yea, I said it)

I am just pissed....

13. True, that's why Obama chose the riskier path --
-- to avoid the casualties and save the intelligence potential of the site.

I think you're right about raising these questions -- indeed, LOOKING for things to question -- only because "her guy" didn't win the last election.

9. Sure they would if Obama was the president
If it had happened during the bush maladministration the sound of the cheerleading would have drowned out everything else.

7. Probably the biggest bush media whore outside of fox
It's very difficult for me to be objective when the subject of candy crowley is discussed because I can't help referring to the impression I have that all the hate she seems to harbor toward democrats has had a very negative impact on her physical attractiveness or lack of same.

Flame me if you must but I can't stand to watch or listen to the cow. She spent eight years fawning over bush to a degree that was nauseating. At least I think she did because I stopped watching CNN in about 2005 and haven't watched 10 minutes of it since then. Crowley and "Mr Jeopardy" Wolf Blitzer were two of the main reasons why.

12. She stood around the corner from a 7,000 person Kerry rally
and claimed that it was a dimished crowd. - sorry don't remember where it was

She was, as you said, a gushing Bush promoter and that is probably why she has her own show on CNN now.

16. I remember that...
I recall watching the rally on Cspan, and when I tuned to CNN to see how they were reporting it, Crowly gave a jaw dropping misrepresentation of what I just watched on my tv. It seems like came from the Boston Globe, but I don't for sure. She sure displayed her Repug bias that day.. which confirmed to me where she was at all along.
