I just discovered Stacy Taylor on KGO, if you're wondering where he went.

On Saturday afternoon I heard this man on KGO Newstalk 810 (a locally-oriented talk station for the SF Bay Area) criticizing the wingnuts who excoriated the president for not mentioning God in his Thanksgiving proclamation. (The segment I heard is covering the entire 3PM Pacific hour, including news breaks and commercial breaks taken raw from the broadcast feed.) The host also bashed rabidly anti-Islam Pamela Geller for her paranoid theory about American corporations selling halal meat. That host was Stacy Taylor (yes, to the more sexist DUers out there, there are many men named Stacy). And searching DU for his name, I discovered that he hosted talk shows on San Diego area stations before progressive talk radio vanished from that area.

Taylor's show is on KGO on the weekends, and there is an audio stream online, on Saturdays 1-3:30PM and Sundays 1-2:30PM (Pacific) (source). And KGO , including the Monterey Peninsula and Central Valley.

Other progressives on the KGO lineup include Gene Burns (M-Th 7-10PM), John Rothmann (M-F 10P-1A), Ray Taliaferro (M-F 1-5AM), and Pat Thurston (Sa/Su 1-5AM). I discovered Thurston when she subbed for the 9a-12p host Ronn Owens on Friday.

I guess he deserves another chance. I'll check out his show again. I'm skeptical. Maybe he seen that KGO had a hole to fill with the disgraced Bernie Ward was sent to prison. Is his switch an attempt to grab the old Ward audience?
