Tucker and Laura lie again
When they were on book tv with Al Franken and Eric A., Tucker and Laura kept rolling their eyes when either liberal would bring up Fox news.

"Oh, again with the fox news" they'd whine. "Fox News is a cable channel that only gets 2 million viewers. CBS, NBC, etc. get many more viewers for their nightly news casts."

That's just total b.s. I've heard Fox news give "news' updates on the wing-nut radio station up here. How many other cities have wingnut radio stations that play only Fox News? Someone on the show said that many many people get their news from talk radio, and since talk radio is all fascist, all the time...

Also, I have alot of time on my hands today, as I'm sick with the flu and stayed home from work. So I really looked into the story in Des Moines, where republicans shoved Joan Jett at a democratic rally.

I tried to find out if the local Fox news affliate in Des Moines covered the story, and then I thought "Well nearly every city has a Fox affliate now, so here's even more coverage the Bush tools at Fox News get."

Where I live, the city also has a local Fox affiliate that puts out what they call news. This is part of the over the air stream (ie not cable) that anybody can pick up.

So Tucker and Laura whining that t Fox news is simply a cable channel that only gets 2 million viewers at max, is just bullshit. Fox news is alot bigger their shitty little station with Bill O'Reilly and freaks on Fox and Friends.

This is how they lie and get away with it.

1. Local FOX stations...
air news earlier and for longer periods of time than the 3 major networks.
They're everywhere!

2. Fox News is a 24 hour channel...
NBS, CBS, and ABC are 3 hours of news at the most. Not to mention that they don't slant their coverage like Fox does.

Tucker and Laura are conservatives first and horrible journalists second.

Fanken pointed this out, and also pointed out that liberal tv and radio try to be fair. Fox News is a propaganda arm of the conservative party, not a news outlet of any kind.

And the examples of the NY Times liberal bias regarding the Fanken vs O'Reilly book review was downright laughable.

They both got creamed and got booed several times. No one in the audience was buying their lies. It was actually very nice to see.

3. Remind them ...

I hope they remember their disgust the next time they complain about the "left wing media". Or maybe they should balk when they mention the TV home of:

* Tucker Carlson
* Evans & Novack

The truth is that CNN exhibits the typical "lazy" media syndrome. They regurgitate the BS faxes that are pumped out by the right wing think tanks. At least they aren't a complete shill like Faux news.

4. Unfortunately....
... one of the TV stations here in New Zealand has picked up the faux news feed and shows it overnight. There's already a strong anti-American sentiment here (mostly because Kiwis think all Americans are arrogant Imperialist religious zealots), and now it's only going to get worse, given that Kiwis are being subjected to the absolute dregs of American 'opinion'.

5. CBS and NBC evening network news broadcasts aren't
CBS and NBC evening network news broadcasts aren't designed to get Democrats elected.

Fox News cable broadcasts are designed to get Republicans elected.

KKKVI as some affectionately refer to it. They are the RW talker here in town, former home of Limbaugh, Savage, and Medved et al., current home of Rusty "I sound and say the same as Rush" Humphries, John "I Ran for Office and Got Smoked" Carlson and a few others.
Anyway, their top hour national news is from Fox news radio division. One RW ranter won't even promote the local news segment because he feels it comes from a "liberal" source...go figure!
