Deborah Norville debut on MSNBC was decent.
Edited on Wed Jan-21-04 09:46 PM by Eric J in MN
I watched the first half of Deborah Norville's debut show and I thought she was decent.

She interviewed John Kerry's wife, Theresa Heinz Kerry, and then she interviewed the parents of a female helicopter pilot who was killed in Iraq.

Unlike Bill O'Reilly, she didn't rant against "The Secularists."

Unlike Joe Scarborough, she didn't ridicule Jeanine Garafalo.

I don't know if Deborah Norville votes Republican or Democratic, but she didn't use tonight's show as an anti-liberal platform.

1. Give her time..
Bill O'Reilly grew more and more insane. She is cut from the same mediawhore cloth as the rest of them.

Corporate news is a joke. Why does anyone watch it?

3. What is up with the fake southern accent?
As soon as she was finished interviewing the parents (who, curiously had southern accents), she dropped the accent. Given the nature of the subject, I thought her routine was incredibly tacky.

8. I thought it sucked.
MSNBC keeps trashing good shows (Donahue, Buchanan and Press) and replacing it with junk. Norville tonight is just bland, uninsightful s--- with a female host just to serve as masturbatory material just like Paula Zahn. Buchanan and Press got canned for THIS?!

Yes, I prefer "Donahue" or "Buchanan and Press"

I'm just saying that I haven't seen Deborah Norville rant like Bill O'Reilly so far.
