2. I Support Dish Network -
fuck CBS who pulled Reagans, refused moveon.org money and will soon silence Howard Stern - I say good for Charlie for standing up to corporate, greedy bullies.

Give your money to Rupert Murdoch - that will show them.

6. Viacom/CBS just want a 40% raise -is that really not a market place number
Is 40% ridiculous? Do you think 40% reflects monopoly power?

Should the media giants be split up?

9. What does 40% mean
in real dollars and cents

How much would it increase my bill?

Is it more than they are charging cable and direct tv

11. I do not know - number comes from Dish press release - but while "over
life of new contract" it still sounds high, given that wage contracts run at 3% per year - if you are lucky.

3. Choose wisely, Rupert Murdoch just bought a big piece of DirecTV
Do you really want to send HIM a check every month?

5. CBS is the only
network that will at least report negative issues about the bush administration. ABC, NBC and faux are surrogates of the administration

14. Hooey -
the Bush administration is supported by the media - How do you explain CBS dropping The Reagans? Won't accept money from moveon.org? and silencing Stern soon because he criticizes Bush?

Please they are all media whores - Viacom gave thousands and thousands to Bush and FCC bribes to expand consolodation. They may do snippets here and there about Shrub, but so does ABC - Nightline on occassion -

Biggest Bush whores are FOX and NBC by far.

13. How does your contract with Dish work?
Better read the fine print or you might be paying two bills for awhile. Satellite TV contracts are the ONLY reason I've gone with cable.

4. I called the FCC about this and what do you know
they don't have anything to do with it. They are supposed to be protecting the public's airwaves and bandwidth but this administration and their house boy in the FCC, Colon's bitch son Michael, are only interested in carrying water for their coporatist overlords and not serving the public. I asked the poor lady that answered the phone and caught hell from me to please tell Michael that we are voting his daddy's cronies out and he would be unemployed next year.

7. In reality
I believe it will be settled in a week...

As far as the FCC is concerned, it is just another reason why this administration must be defeated!

12. The FCC will protect us from breasts
but not catastrophic service loss.

Try Michael Powell for treasonous malpractice, President Kerry.

16. If We Allow The Big Corporate Broadcasters
to continue on this path - there will be 3 owners of the airwaves, including radio - 2 owners of cable & satellite (Rupert Murdoch & Comcast) and the Daily Show will be censored as will many others.

Look at the big picture please -

17. Good for Dish Network
The main thing my family will miss is Nick (for my kids). I think Viacomm is trying to screw Dish Network, but I guess it really depends on Direct TV and cable companies are paying for the same product.
