I was at a dinner party last night at a friend's, who does have it. Even another friend, who is very apolitical, was appalled at how just plain dumb and unprofessional Miller was. They cancelled Donahue for THIS stooge?

The only good thing I can say is that he DID let Alterman talk much more than Hannity or O'Reilly would have--and Alterman certainly carried his end of the bargain.

It had to be obvious to anybody--even his paid audience (how much did they pay these guys? A six-pack of Coors?) that the only reason Miller let him talk was because he was thoroughly befuddled. Whatever happened to the Miller who used to pride himself on his erudition? As out of place as that was on Monday NIght Football, couldn't he muster some of it here?

If I was Mr. Uninformed American and I saw that show, I know who I would believe. Miller looked like a dummy, and he just let Alterman run circles around him.
