I hate my freeper brother-n-law!
He has brainwashed my sister and now they are both in freeper crazytown. He denies that he is imposing his views on gays when he votes for gay marriage bans. He still thinks that Iraqis want us to help them with democracy. He believes that everyone who dissents against Bush is unpatriotic, and even believes that Bush is intelligent. I asked him recently if he was running from bush like the rest of the republicans or if he is still among the 29% in denial, and he said, "We never run from anything." Just to show you his mentality, he falls for all the repuke propaganda. He's so damn gullible. Can anyone give me some good ideas to shove into his face and shut him up.

1. Save your energy
for something more worthwhile. Then wait for the moment you can just smile and say, "I told you so."

8. That is what I am doing. I am waiting for the right moment to let
the hammer fall.

I am on a veteran's board that is mostly freepers. Bush can do no wrong and everything is the fault of the Dems and the "liberal media." It is Joe Wilson's fault that his wife was outed, freedom is on the march, and GW is good for this country.

There is one guy that I argue with all of the time and I have realized that it is just not worth the effort. He doesn't want to hear opinions that are different than his. Whenever I mention something, he immediately attacks it (usually with no source to back him up) and then asks me if I'm getting tired of "being slapped around".

He said the other day that "I had practically indicted Rove" and that "we are all lucky that I am not on the jury." I am waiting for the day that Rove is indicted and then I am going to serve up the largest slice of humble pie you have ever seen. I am going to enjoy watching this freeper eat every bite.

Don't waste your breath on these people. It has taken me a long time to learn this, but they don't care what you have to say. You will not change their minds, so save yourself the aggravation. Use your energy in a more constructive manner. You know that you are right and that is all that matters.

11. Thanks for the advice
but when we all get together he always brings up politics. I try to ignore him but he keeps pushing my buttons. I can run circles around him with logic but he refuses to admit defeat. It's like we're children playing guns, I pretend to shoot him as he says, "no you didn't. I have magical body armor." I can never have an intellectual deiscusion with him and yet he want leave me alone. He really is a waste of breathe and I can't wait till november to shove everything is his face. After we take the house and have subpeona power, and all the corruption comes to light... ohhhh, I can't wait to ram that down his freeper throat.

20. A Rush wannabe...
I just laugh at them and say things like, "You really believe that, don't you?" They answer, "Yes I do. " I answer, "Well, that's too bad." and shake my head while looking at them and then looking away as if I really feel sorry for them that they're such a dumb shit beyond all hope.

21. He actually used the Rush Limbaugh website as a source for
one of his arguments.

I told him, "You have got to be kidding. That guy lies almost as much as George Bush!"

16. Hear Hear
Don't let Bush destroy your family. They may have to move in with you after Bush gets done with them.

It won't destroy us, my family is too close for that, but he is alienating himself. He is the one who starts the political debates. His side is primarily composed of repukes. His father was telling me how Global Warming is made up, and his mom had plenty to say about Katrina victims not heading the warning to get out of New Orleans.

Edited for Grammar

:puke: You have my sincere condolences. The sister-in-law is particularly offensive. She never misses listening to the pigman, never. And she is a "devout" Catholic besides. What a flaming hypocrite she is! :puke:

5. If he considers himself a believer
just call Stupid what he is, the most UNCHRISTIAN president the country has ever been cursed with.

They've read the words. They know what they say. They have no answer to it.

Other than that, it's probably better to leave the two of them to stew in their own juices for the time being. You're only making them defensive right now, and forcing them to cling to stuff they probably already know is wrong just to save face with you.

7. everyone has at least one idiot in the family.....
My b-i-l is a kool-aid drinker. Down to every last person that defends Bush I find they think of themselves first. They are usually emotionally unintelligent and can only frame arguments on a personal basis. If I have to explain to someone why its important to care about other people and be empathetic, then its really not a good use of my time.

I'm proud of him for that, but anytime he opens his mouth he's an embarrassment.

15. thank him for his service and I guess we all are entitled to;
Our opinions, no matter how deft! I too share BIL of the same ilk. 3rd generation farmers who were handed multi-million dollar businesses, but " made it it on their own". Father in law is a Roosevelt democrat who says "you guys just don't understand what it took to get you here" No politics are spoken at family gatherings, the women of the family have had enough and just want to enjoy themselves and the heard of kids that make up this family.

13. My day will come!
We're all going to Germany to see the rest of my family, and I am going to have a field day. My cousin and all his European friends will rip his ass relentlessy. I can't wait! He'll get first hand knowledge of how the rest of the world sees us. Maybe it'll make a dent, or maybe he'll just stick his fingers in his ears.

19. Another freeper BIL!
Yep, I have one too. Lately, he's been sending us anti-Arab "jokes" that he finds on the Internet. :-{ Big Bush supporter, etc. Keeps calling me a liberal, as if that's the worst insult in the universe. And it's so sad, because I am the veteran, he never served. I've been successful in the business world, he's never worked for anyone but his dad who keeps him on because he feels sorry for him. He loves the Bush tax cuts, even though he won't see a dime and I'll probably cut my taxes about $1,000 (more money to contribute to the Bernie Sanders and Russ Feingold campaign!), etc.

I believe after you cut through all the crap - at the bottom he is just a racist and only feels good about himself when he's putting others down.

Very sad

23. Sadly, I have a brother like that
We both grew up in the same household and both my mother and father are lifelong Democrats, yet somewhere in the last 5 years ailens must have abducted him and done a brain transplant. I can't figure it out. We barely speak anymore.
