Romney speaks at anti-gay marriage rally
By David Weber - Associated Press
Nov 22, 2006, 17:28

BOSTON — Gov. Mitt Romney said Sunday he would ask the state’s highest court to order an anti-gay marriage amendment question onto the ballot if legislators fail to vote on the matter when they reconvene in January.

Romney, a potential presidential candidate in 2008, said he would file a legal action this week asking a single justice of the Supreme Judicial Court to direct the secretary of state to place the question on the ballot if the lawmakers do not vote directly on the question on Jan. 2, the final day of the session ...

Because the Legislature is in recess and did not adjourn, Romney has no legal authority to call lawmakers back into session.

1. I support Mitten's decision to not marry a man!
He certainly should not be compelled to do so. He has my total support on this.

In fact if he so chooses he has my support to not marry at all. If he is already married, to a man, a woman, a (sentient) penguin, or even to three women, he has my support to get unmarried or stay married or whatever. Actually he can go fuck himself.

Poor Romney is in a war with McCain to see who can pose as more conservative this week. Next week, who knows?:eyes:

3. People don't get that.
People act like if gay marriage is allowed, then heterosexual marriages will be forced to end or something. Weird.
