Since we no longer have a 4th amendment...
Edited on Fri Jul-11-08 02:28 PM by freesqueeze
does this mean that amendments 5-27 all move down one number and become amendments 4-26?

Or will we just leave the 4th position open and use it for the next one that comes along?

Or just leave 4 alone and let it serve as a tribute for the America we had before we won the war on terror? A faint memory of days gone by (like a retired number in baseball).

1. Good question...
Or we could simply move amendments 1-3 into the 2-4 slots. It would be easier since it would require fewer amendments to move. And neater.

4. Satire is dead
It's sad, but it's to the point where satire has no power, because things are so ridiculous.

You could be being serious, and it wouldn't even matter, nor could anybody tell.

6. Satire is dead...
I refuse to believe this.

I am a student of political satire and I think it is alive and well. Not as effective as it once was but it is still there and a part of the discussion.

2. Any more of this and you can just burn the one we have and start over.
No need to re-arrange.

3. If we have constraint on government power, the terrorists have won
Not kidding. We need the government to track everything we do to keep us safe from ourselves?

Don't beleive me?

You are statistically more likely to commit suicide than get killed by terrorists.

YOU ARE A THREAT TO YOURSELF!

5. Satire: It works both ways
Well in a few years we wont have a 2nd either, so we should hold off on rearranging until that time to simplify things.
