After January 20, what are our options?
Assuming that Bush is out and Obama is in, what are our options regarding how the Bush administration goes down in history?

Can Congress officially condemn a former President or Presidential administration even if it's not called impeachment?

1. They can still impeach
but I'm not sure that they'd need to at that point to arrest and convict.

8. I don't think they can impeach Bush once he leaves office
The whole purpose of impeachment is to remove the person from office. If Bush has already left office there is no reason for impeachment. Right?

3. A new Church Commission.
A comprehensive, no-whitewashing, airing of the laundry, without regard to who is implicated. We need to open the files and let the sun shine in.

Frankly, a Democratic President and a supermajority in both houses could, in just a few years' time, declare the Republican National Committee an illegal terrorist organization (should have done that long ago, but the repubs are good at lying their way into office).

Surviving Repub presidents could be sent to the International Criminal Court, as could all their cabinet members and other lackeys. Repubs cluttering up Congress could easily be put out, and the lunatics that got shoehorned into the SCOTUS could be shown the door and a REAL court seated. Go after the fat cats that keep the repubs in power FOR KEEPS, and not let them weasel out with any tax shelters or bailouts. Comprehensive, commonsense hate-speech legislation would put the racists and terrorist-enablers on the radio out of business for good.

I'm of the belief that no truly intelligent person really believes in anything the Repubs say or stand for. Or rather, they wouldn't if they weren't constantly being lied to by the conservative MSM. For years, Americans have been fooled into thinking that the repubs actually stand for something praiseworthy. They've been lied to since the party's founding, and will continue to be lied to until sensible people who know the truth do something about it.

So very simply, make the Repubs and their greedy fat cat pimps vanish from the face of the earth. Oh, there'd be someone here or there who would be upset; but once people saw how bad they had it under the repubs, you'd see any hard feelings dry up pretty quick.

What good is a two-party system when the other party is an institutionalized concentration of evil, racism, sexism, homophobia, tyranny and oppression since its founding? The repubs have been around more than a hundred years but never ONCE made a single contribution to civil rights, women's rights, the rights of workers, the environment, social or economic justice, or indeed done anything but get us into wars to kill off the poor and enrich the power elite.

Is a little common sense too much to ask?

9. Our Advantage
Should be pressed to the maximum. Bush, Cheney and their cronies should be investigated, prosecuted, convicted and sentenced. No mercy! All these jails and prisons they have been building at our expense? Lets fill those suckers up with republicans.
