Limbaugh is hurting Republicans with criticism of Obama
Wednesday, February 4, 2009 | 10:00 a.m. CST
BY Tracy Barnes

... Basically, like a child who has gotten his or her way for the past eight years, Republicans like Mr. Limbaugh are angry at having to compromise, share and follow a new leader with whom they don't see eye to eye ...

Rush has every right to bash the president ... However, by 2007 Rasmussen Reports had 62 percent of Americans holding an unfavorable opinion of Mr. Limbaugh.

Right-wing America is looking at this all wrong. Obama is not telling anyone who they can listen to and who they can't. He is saying no work can get done in the government if lawmakers are simply taking what Limbaugh says to be true and not questioning things for themselves.

And why should lawmakers be listening to Limbaugh, for goodness' sake? ... he is still a college dropout who has never been involved or trained in politics besides being behind a microphone. It’s ludicrous that educated, experienced lawmakers should shrink behind this man to get their point across ...

Sitting in a leaky boat, handcuffed to Rushbo ...

1. Limbaugh has a 21 percent approval rating......
It appears that he is less popular than either William Ayers and Rev. Wright!

6. You're assuming that market forces have something to do with his presence on the air.
That's not true. Progressive radio outdraws wingnut radio in those markets where there's any competition. Limbaugh & the like manage to exist because the big media owners don't want you listening to progressives, so they don't put any on the air.

8. Apples & oranges.
The 60+% number is a different statistic. Someone else will weigh n with the details, which I forget, but that seems to be what this is about. Apples & oranges. Or persimmons & kumquats.
