Rush Limbaugh, Scholar (MediaMatters)
Published Mon, Mar 2, 2009 11:45am ET by Jamison Foser

During his CPAC speech, Rush Limbaugh said conservatives "believe that the preamble to the Constitution contains an inarguable truth that we are all endowed by our creator with certain inalienable rights, among them life, Liberty, Freedom. And the pursuit of happiness."

Conservatives may believe that, but it .. actually appears (more or less..) in the Declaration of Independence.

1. Oh fer chissake. Does it matter?
Limbaugh doesn't care about the details. He just wants to make it clear that liberals are hateful socialist idiots, and conservatives are patriotic, God-fearing, Americans.

the basic ideas included in the document, and since Limbaugh seems to be emerging as the voice of the party, it's at least interesting that he shrieks about "the bastardization of the Constitution" after confusing it with the Declaration of Independence (which he misquotes). Is this earth-shattering? Well, of course not. But it may be emblematic

Limbaugh obviously has his own version and anyone who has heard him talk knows he is WAY off his rocker. I used to feel sad for him, after all drugs can cloud your mind, but...., he is on his own after saying he hopes our current President "fails". What a communist thing to say, patriotic my ass!
