By John Fritze, USA TODAY

WASHINGTON — Hours after telling President Obama that he would be no automatic vote for Democrats — even though he had just joined their ranks — Pennsylvania Sen. Arlen Specter proved the point. 1. Like I said...
*cough*

It's not some kind of amazing gift.

It's good because it further embarrasses the GOP. And it will hopefully net us SOME help on SOME votes SOME of the time. But that's about it. We just gained another DINO to wrestle with.

2. And yet people here treat Kucinich as some kind of a hero because he voted against the budget
K'nich can say that he did so because of the war funding, but in the end a no vote is a no vote. His no vote is the same as Specter's vote, or for that matter, Mitch McConnell's no vote.
