Hi Democratic Underground regulars!

Today I finally have reached enough posts to be allowed to start my own topic here on Democratic Underground. Here is my first new topic and I had to make it a Rice for President post.

I am not your usual kind of Bush supporter and in fact I am not even a conservative. I am a Scottish republican socialist who is fan of Condoleezza Rice! Wow! What an inspiring leader! I love Condi!

So good luck with the health care reform. I back our British National Health Service - health care for all, free at the time of need. It is one of the best things about this country - the monarchy is the worst.

The United Kingdom didn't give free health care without a struggle - in fact UK conservatives including Blair and Brown are trying to take it back little at a time, starting with refusing to pay properly for free dental care. So watch out for those conservatives. Stick at it. It is worth it. Americans deserve no less. Go Obama!

Were you Democrats worried in case McCain picked Condi for VP? You do know Democrats would have got beat, yes?

A poll of New Yorkers showed something like a 20% swing in support in favour of a McCain Rice 2008 ticket. I calculated that a swing like that nationwide would have led to a 46 states landslide victory for McCain - Rice 2008!

A lucky escape for Obama! Why did McCain go with lipstick-on-a-pitbull/pig person for VP? Bad move!

Please excuse me for advising you to support Condi in 2012 because I know almost everyone here will be supporting the Democratic candidate, Obama again I suppose? Fair enough.

I also want you to know that we Scots are America's loyal allies in the war on terror and we will stick with you until we win this.

Maybe I should post the Iraq X-file while I am here? Condi was instrumental in the Iraq policy and making it work so I want to be sure that you guys know how to finish the whole thing up satisfactorily.

PATRAEUS - "I gather that Karzai's brother met with either Mullah Omar or his close aides in Saudi Arabia."

That the head of the enemy Taliban might be thought to be in Saudi Arabia should come as no surprise.

Saudi Arabia appears to be the enemy Head Quarters in the war on terror.

• Bin Laden, head of Al Qaeda, is a Saudi citizen, as were most of the 9/11 terrorists. Bin Laden may even be holed up in Saudi Arabia right now. Maybe even Mecca where some think he is a holy man. OK that is speculation but what is obvious, to me at least, is that Bin Laden is a secret agent of the Saudi kingdom.

Basically the Saudi kingdom is fighting an undeclared war against us.

Our real enemy, in "the war on terror", call it what you will, ladies and gentlemen, is the Saudi kingdom allied no doubt to similar kingdoms and dictatorships who are opposed to the very notion of democracy and are fighting to destroy democracy everywhere in the world, or at least weaken global democracy enough so that they can continue keeping a grip on their own power by suppressing the democracy of the people they rule over.

Who is supporting negotiations with the enemy in the enemy's stronghold, the Saudi kingdom, from a position of weakness, with the apparent inability of the president of the USA to confront the enemy Saudi King?

Why with thousands dead in 9/11 and a mountain of evidence implicating the Saudi Kingdom, do US Presidents in denial still choose to hold hands and bow to the Saudi King who not only let 9/11 happen but whose kingdom secretly organises terrorism against the US and allies?

Why does the one global super-power go weak at the knees at the sight of Saudi royalty which is backstabbing it?

Why is the super power suddenly a super coward?

It is a political mystery highlighted by the Iraq X-file.

As it is Peter, actually I don't think you will find many interested in yer views with the exception to interest in the system of health care in the United Kingdom. By the way Peter, you will find that 98.6 per cent of Du'ers hail tremendous support for the monarchy over there in the U.K. In fact Parer I find it somewhat disinherarting that you yourself are somewhat disenchanted with the monarchy. You may want to reconsider your views toward the monarchy and perhaps tailor those views in such a way that those views are more pleasing to the 98.6 majority of supporters here at DU.
