This reminds me of a phenomenon that took place during the 2002 election in Kansas. We elected a Democratic governor, with a LOT of help from Repubs. These signs were everywhere, I kid you not: "Another Republican for Sebelius". Now Sebelius is a good person and governor, but she is no Wes Clark.

I think Americans of all persuasions are literally desperate to get a true leader in the WH. And I bet many Repubs are now silently repeating this mantra over and over again, 'be careful what you wish for, be careful what you wish for.....'
