More misinformation about Tea Party crowd estimates (Media Matters)
March 28, 2010 11:44 am ET by Eric Boehlert

... If Politico confirmed that 20,000 people showed up, other news outlets should do the same, right? But when you click on the Politico article, you see that .... Politico didn't confirm the crowd size, it simply passed along the estimate provided by organizers .... From the Las Vega Sun: About 8,000 people were at the event as of 2 p.m., according to an estimate from Metro Police spokesman Jay Rivera ...

Woodstock's approximate attendance: 500,000.
Searchlight's approximate attendance: 8,000 ...

at Woodstock. Sorry, going to the drive-in to see the movie doesn't count.
The pics from the Tealiban hootenanny didn't look like any 8,000 to me. Hard to tell though and the pics I saw may have been early before a lot of Teaorrists arrived.

2. "Traffic at one time was backed up about five miles from Searchlight."

Yeah, traffic was slowed down from drivers passing by the idiotic trainwreck, and wondering what the fuck was going on.

The implication is that they were backed up waiting to get in?

It looked to me like maybe they got a couple thousand people.

5. Maybe they should have invited a few good bands????
I'm sure the Dixie Chicks would not have accepted the invitation though!

4. I think that the more the media shows close-up photos
of the teabaggers, the better it is for us.

Those hate-filled faces and their mean-spirited signs with misspelled words will start to turn off independents IMO.
